TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SCHOOLIES
Wow Stay Apartment Rules & Guidelines
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, these rules are strictly enforced. Violations may result in forfeiture of your security deposit and booking.
1. Registration & Occupancy
- Only registered guests are permitted in the apartment and facilities.
- No visitors, day guests, or additional occupants are allowed.
- Schoolies lanyards must be worn at all times while on the property. Guests without a visible wristband will be denied entry or removed.
- The group leader assumes full responsibility for the group.
2. Property Care & Damages
- Any breakage, stains, or missing items must be reported to the office as soon as possible. Damages will be charged against the bond.
- No crowding, "knock and run," or damage in hallways.
- No adhesive tapes, stickers, blu-tack, or decorations on walls, doors, or ceilings. Removal labour + repainting will be charged to the bond.
- Furniture must not be moved between apartments or onto balconies. A fee applies per item.
- BBQ grills or cooking appliances (air fryers, hot plates, etc.) are banned inside. Fire alarm activation will result in a call-out fee.
- Tampering with fire sprinklers is strictly prohibited and will result in a fine and immediate eviction.
- Do not throw or hang items from balconies (e.g., clothes, towels, bottles). Violations will incur a fine and eviction.
- Our apartments are subject to wear and tear. Our team takes "before photos" for your reassurance. Report any pre-existing damage or concerns within 2 hours of check-in (we recommend you take and send photos).
3. Smoking, Vaping & Illicit Substances
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all areas of the property (apartment, balcony, common areas). Evidence will result in deposit forfeiture.
- Illicit drugs are not tolerated. Police will be notified, and instant eviction will occur.
4. Quiet Hours & Parties
- Noise restrictions apply 9:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
- Balconies are part of quiet-hours rules. No music, loud conversation, or groups on balconies during quiet hours.
- Amplified sound (Bluetooth speakers, etc.) is prohibited after 8:00 PM anywhere on the property. Confiscation + fine applies.
- First Complaint: Warning + $300 fine for security attendance.
- Second Complaint: Possible eviction + full deposit forfeiture.
- The property is monitored by CCTV and 24/7 security patrols, with liaison with QLD Police.
- Evictions carried out by on-site building management are final and result in booking forfeiture without refund.
5. Instant Booking Termination
Your booking will be immediately terminated without refund for:
- Abusive or threatening behaviour towards staff or security.
- Intoxication posing a risk to yourself or others.
- Balcony climbing, roof access, or other unsafe behaviour.
- Police involvement.
6. Keys & Lockouts
- Lost Keys/FOBs: $200 per set ($300 per card for Soul apartments).
- Lockout Assistance Fees:
- 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: $150
- 8:00 PM – Midnight: $250
- Midnight – 9:00 AM: $400
- Remote unlock (if available): $100
7. Apartment Amenities
- Daily housekeeping is not included.
- Additional towels can be hired for $6 each.
- Safes are disabled. Locksmith call-out fees are at the guest’s expense.
8. Parking & Facilities
- Only one designated parking space is provided. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
- Building rules are enforced by management and security.
9. Check-Out – 10:00 AM SHARP
- Unauthorised late check-outs: $150 per hour.
- Apartment must be left tidy:
- Rubbish and food disposed of.
- Dishwasher loaded and started.
- Furniture returned to original positions.
- Failure to comply will result in cleaning fees.
10. Local Considerations
- Due to the subtropical climate, occasional insects (cockroaches, ants) may be present. Keep doors closed and food sealed.
